So Hunter Biden has finally agreed to testify before the House Oversight Committee in December in response to a subpoena from James Comer, with the press dutifully reporting that it was Hunter’s lawyer Abbe Lowell who insisted on making the testimony open to the public. It’s going to be a circus of course unless Comer and staff can effectively exercise severe marching orders on the part of members’ questions.
The potential that Hunter pours on the charm and is lauded for his performance under fire all over the Democrat partisan media is absolute, so get ready for it. Look at all the time wasted for the pointless investigation of this tragic figure, a victim really, who only ever tried to help his father and battled through addiction to become a pillar of his family! You can write the commentary now, producers, and save time for the Christmas Party season. SNL might as well cast Jon Hamm to play him now.
The more interesting piece of information about this are some of the gems in this Politico piece spinning for Team Hunter, outlining the shift in strategy to go aggressive in the run up to the election year — a shift that almost certainly contributed to his sweetheart deal falling apart at the last minute. It was driven in part by an awareness that his father’s unbelievable denials, and the exposure of efforts by others to give Hunter a slap on the wrist for his clear IRS crimes, just wasn’t working.
