The American right has a Richard Hanania problem. And if they don't get wise to it, they'll end up spending a lot of money funding a number of racists they eventually break up with, regretting the whole thing.
Hanania is not a household name for anyone who isn't on Twitter. But the young academic has already carved out a fandom among people who appreciate his brand of trollish rejection of convention. His brand is believing horrible things about humanity, and he relates these things as if they are major discoveries about the condition of the human race. Thanks to a report last week, it turns out that prior to being an internet troll with a following, he was an even worse internet troll with no following. He just needed to find the elites who would agree with him. And he did.
