Believe it or not, the powers-that-be are claiming that this was just about a document dispute. Really. Even though a cavalcade of commentators were reacting to the Mar-a-Lago raid by claiming it must be about something more serious, or with a more important aim in mind, the usual spinners for our badge-wielding federal betters are really claiming with a straight face that this unprecedented and shocking escalation against a man who just was president and could be president again was just about a “no one is above the law” classification dispute of the order that every modern president has to face.
